The front half of the fee, sent first
A deposit here is half of the fee itself rather than a security held aside, and it is what turns a weekend enquiry into an evening nobody else can take.
The word deposit does most of its work badly. Nothing is being lodged with the house and returned at the end; the sum is the front half of the fee, calculated on the figure in the profile you picked, named in euro in the thread once the evening is agreed, and settled before she leaves.
When it is asked for
Seven situations call for it: a booking made more than twenty-four hours before it starts, the eight hour block, two therapists at once, a room at Schiphol or an airport hotel, a peak date, a session of three hours or longer, and a client's first booking with the house. A short break from abroad tends to tick the first and the last of those at the same time, which is why almost every weekend booking here runs in halves.
The one that does not
A returning client, at a city address, asking for an hour or two later that same day, sends nothing beforehand and settles the whole figure on arrival. Change the date, add a therapist, cross three hours, move to an airport hotel or land on a peak date and the half is back.
How it is sent
Card first, with Revolut, Wise and cryptocurrency there as alternatives. Bank transfer and PayPal are not used, and cash cannot serve, because the front half is settled before a journey that cash cannot precede.
