Booking one evening of a short break
Nothing here is arranged by voice; it is all written down. Four facts in an opening message will earn a full reply, and no hour is held until that reply has been accepted in the thread.
A short-break booking runs in four moves. You write. A reply comes back naming a therapist, a figure and an arrival window. Where a deposit is due, half of the fee travels first. Then comes the journey, forty to sixty minutes to any address in the central districts.

What comes back
The reply names a therapist, gives the figure and gives a window rather than a single minute. Forty to sixty is honest for the centre and holds through the week, so plan against the far end of it and you will never be caught half dressed.
One word confirms all three. Nothing is asked of you before that point: no form, no account, no card details typed into a page, and no explanation of why you are in the city for two nights.
Booking on Friday for Saturday, and what that changes
A booking made more than twenty-four hours before it starts carries a deposit of half the fee. That single line explains most of what is different about a short trip. Write on Friday morning for Saturday evening and half goes ahead. Write on Saturday afternoon for Saturday evening and, if the house has looked after you before and the address is in the city, the whole fee is settled on arrival instead.
Half is asked for on seven kinds of booking: anything arranged more than twenty-four hours ahead, the eight hour block at any start time, two therapists whatever the length, a room at Schiphol or an airport hotel, a peak date, a session of three hours or more, and the first booking anybody makes with the house. Only a returning guest's same-day hour or two at a city address is paid entirely at the door.
The deposit, in figures
So a first booking of one hour at 180 euros sends 90 ahead and settles 90 in the room. Ninety minutes, which is 270 euros, puts 135 in advance. Two hours at 360 sends 180. Three hours, at 540 euros, sends 270. The eight hour block, at 1,250 euros, sends 625 of it. Two therapists for two hours comes to 720, so 360 goes ahead. It travels by card, or by Revolut, Wise or cryptocurrency for anyone who prefers one of those. PayPal is not accepted and neither is a bank transfer. A deposit is not returned as a formality. What is kept is the share of the fee already earned when your message lands, and only the notice decides it. More than twenty-four hours before the booked hour, nothing is kept and all of it comes back. Inside the last twenty-four hours, with the journey not yet started, half the deposit is kept and half returns. Once the journey has started, the deposit is kept in full. Two things still reduce that: if the released hour is taken by somebody else it is repaid in full, and if you can show the loss was smaller than the sum kept, only the smaller sum is kept. No cancellation here creates a liability for damages.
Where no deposit was taken, the same logic runs on nothing. Called off before she has set out, a returning guest's same-day hour costs nothing at all. Called off while she is already crossing the city, it costs the share of the fee her journey represents and not a cent past it.
Moving a night once the trip has started
One change of date is free, which is the provision a short break most often needs. The request has to reach the thread more than twenty-four hours before the booked time, and the new date has to fall inside fourteen days. With both of those met, the deposit travels across whole. A second move, or any move requested within the last day, is weighed on the notice scale in the way a cancellation written at that minute would be, and the part the scale leaves untouched carries over to the new evening.
One habit saves more short-break bookings than any other: between the confirmation and the knock, stay out of the bed. A guest who lies down at that point on the second evening of a walking holiday is asleep in nine minutes. If sleep is about to win, write it in the thread before she leaves and the start hour moves.
